Musical Director

The current music director is John Brown.  Originally from England, John played clarinet, bass clarinet, recorder, crumhorn and percussion in various ensembles and orchestras at the Wolverhampton Music School.  He was president of the Music Society at Trinity College, Oxford, and director of the Trinity Madrigal Singers. He was musical director of the Oxford Gilbert and Sullivan Society for 2 years, and collaborated on an original musical based on F Scott Fitzgerald's The Beautiful and Damned.

Claire De Burbure

 


He has sung in several choirs in England and Belgium, and was a founder member of the Brussels Living Room Choir.  He is also choir director at All Saints' Church, Waterloo, and is an enthusiastic pianist and accompanist.

The choir is lucky to have Claire De Burbure as a regular rehearsal pianist.





Previous Director

Pamela Clements MBE was music director up to 2009 and continues as guest director for some concerts.  She trained at the Royal Academy of Music, London, as a pianist, teacher and conductor. She has taught music in schools and privately, and lectured extensively on nursery music-making. Since moving to Belgium in 1973 she has worked as an accompanist for the European Choir and for recitals. She was for many years Director of Music at Holy Trinity Pro-Cathedral.
